NEB +2 GPA Calculator (Grade 11 & 12) · एनईबी +२ जीपीए क्याल्कुलेटर (कक्षा ११ र १२)
Calculate your Grade 11 or Grade 12 GPA under the National Examinations Board (NEB) using your subject combination — Science, Management, Humanities, Law, Education or Hotel & Hospitality — across six subjects and 27 credits.
Subject presets, credit splits and grade points are versioned and sourced (CLAUDE.md #3) — only an admin-verified rule version is ever used to calculate a result.

About this tool & FAQ
Six subjects, 27 credits
Every NEB +2 subject combination — Science, Management, Humanities, Law, Education, and Hotel & Hospitality, in both their Computer-Science variants — registers a student into exactly six subjects totalling 27 credits: Nepali, English, one compulsory-slot subject (Mathematics or Social Studies and Life Skills Education depending on the stream), and three stream-specific optional subjects. Selecting your grade and combination fills in the correct six subjects automatically.
How GPA is calculated
GPA is credit-weighted: each subject's grade point is multiplied by its credit hours, those products are summed, and the total is divided by 27 (the fixed total credit hours for any complete NEB +2 combination). A subject with more credit hours — such as Mathematics or Social Studies at 5 credits versus Nepali at 3 — counts proportionally more toward the final GPA.
Final grade or theory + internal components
Enter either one final letter grade per subject, or a separate theory grade and internal (practical/continuous-assessment) grade if your marksheet shows them separately. Subjects like Computer Science and Hotel Management/Hospitality Management split their credit hours evenly between theory and internal (50/50) rather than the usual 75/25 split, reflecting their heavier practical component — this calculator applies the correct split automatically based on the subject you select.
When your GPA is withheld
If any subject is marked NG (Not Graded) or left incomplete, the official GPA is withheld rather than calculated with a substituted zero. An indicative GPA over only the completed, graded subjects is shown separately and clearly labelled as indicative, not official.
FAQ
- Why does my combination always show exactly six subjects?
- NEB registers every Grade 11/12 student into six subjects totalling 27 credits regardless of stream — two shared subjects (Nepali, English), one compulsory-slot subject specific to the stream, and three stream-specific optional subjects.
- Why do Computer Science and Hotel Management split credits 50/50?
- These subjects have a heavier practical/internal-assessment component than a typical theory-heavy subject, so their published curriculum splits credit hours evenly between theory and internal assessment instead of the usual 75% theory / 25% internal split.
- Is Grade 11 combined with Grade 12 into one GPA here?
- No — this calculator computes one grade's GPA at a time. Use the combined-CGPA feature (where available) to weight your Grade 11 and Grade 12 GPAs together by their respective credits.
- Is this an official NEB transcript calculation?
- No — always confirm your final GPA against your official NEB marksheet. This tool is an informational estimate based on the current, sourced subject and credit structure.
