About Kaamsajilo

Kaamsajilo is a free set of everyday tools built specifically for people living in, working with, or studying about Nepal. Most of what people search for — converting a Bikram Sambat date, typing in Nepali Unicode, working out a loan EMI, estimating vehicle tax, or checking today's gold price — is scattered across ad-heavy sites, outdated blog posts, or apps that don't work well on a slow connection. We built Kaamsajilo to put these in one place: fast, mobile-friendly, and free to use without an account.

What we believe

• No invented numbers. Every tax slab, vehicle-tax rate, or GPA scale we publish is tied to an official source document and an effective date. Until we can cite where a rule comes from, we mark it "unverified" rather than guess — see our Data Sources page.
• Privacy by default. Most tools run entirely in your browser and send nothing to our servers. Resumes you build are private and never indexed by search engines unless you choose to export them yourself.
• Built for Nepal's connections and devices. We test on low-end phones and slower mobile networks, not just fast office Wi-Fi.
• Bilingual by design. Nepali and English are both first-class — not an afterthought translation layer.

What's available today

Nepali Date Converter (BS↔AD), a four-mode Nepali typing tool (Preeti↔Unicode conversion, traditional Preeti keyboard, and romanized typing), an EMI calculator, an age calculator that understands both calendars, a rule-driven GPA calculator, vehicle tax and salary/income tax calculators, live NRB forex rates with a currency converter, gold and silver prices, and a resume/CV maker with export to PDF and Word — including a Nepali government-application–style template.

Who's behind this

Kaamsajilo is currently a solo-developer project in its early build phase — "Kaamsajilo" is a placeholder name while we validate the product and prepare for launch. This About page, like the rest of the site's content, is a first draft and will be updated with real details before public launch.
